The self-propelled feed mixer

The self-propelled feed mixer

The best solution for every farmer! We work with various feed mixers from 6 m2 to 80 m2 in size. With a feed mixer you ensure that the cattle is always served well-mixed feed, which translates into happy cows, more milk and better meat. A feed mixer therefore ensures better quality.

In order to feed the cattle as efficiently as possible, a choice is often made between a trailed or self-propelled feed mixer. At Peeters Group we work with both feed mixers.

The self-propelled feed mixer price is relatively more expensive. Nevertheless, this investment can be an interesting purchase at the bottom of the line. It is easier to load twice with a self-propelled feed mixer. Moreover, with a self-propelled machine it is easier to feed cattle in groups.

The time savings of a self-propelled feed mixer increases as the pits and silos are further apart.

A self-propelled feed mixer has several advantages. For example, you have less mess, you can load more precisely and the tractors can continue their work during silage. Moreover, only one engine is running instead of two, which in turn saves fuel. Peeters Group has a self-propelled feed mixer for sale with a load capacity of 2400 kilograms. But there are also larger feed mixers with a load capacity of up to 25,600 kilograms.

Advantages of a self-propelled feed mixer

  • Load correct feed amount more accurately
  • Only one machine needed, savings, maintenance and fuel
  • Easily load twice
  • Easier to feed in groups
  • Time savings

The self-propelled feed mixer from Peecon

The Biga Rapide Future is the self-propelled model of the feed mixers. This Peecon machine is equipped with a loading cutter with which the feed can be removed.

The arm is raised and lowered by means of two cylinders. The cylinders are located next to the tunnel so that it can be moved up and down quickly. The tiller is equipped with FPS (Fiber Pick-up System). This unique system ensures that we load products in two directions. This leads to more structure retention during milling.

In addition, the construction of the milling knives on the milling cutter is horizontal and therefore not spiral-shaped (which you see in most cases). During milling, the product is milled straight back. An auger in the left half of the milling machine ensures rapid discharge of the feed to the milling tunnel. By milling in two directions, the perpendicular position of the knives on the cutter and the extra auger in the back of the cutter, we can generate an extremely fast discharge of the feed towards the mixing tub, which means that the structure is optimally preserved.

Due to the rapid discharge of the feed, the highest capacity is also achievable. The milling tunnel is one of the widest on the market (820 mm), so there are no restrictions in milling capacity here.

Biga Rapide Future

The Biga machines fall under the Peecon brand, which is one of the sub-brands of the Peeters Group. In addition to the self-propelled feed mixer, Peecon has more agricultural machines, such as machines for manure and transport techniques and small equipment.

The Biga Rapide Future, in contrast to many other self-propelled mixing wagons, has a mechanical drive of mixing auger(s). Thanks to this mechanical drive, no power is lost and we can achieve minimal fuel consumption.

With the Biga Rapide Future you are assured of continuity and of a machine that ensures a homogeneously mixed ration. As a result, your herd is and remains in top condition, resulting in an optimum yield.

Different types of the Biga Rapide Future:

Types of feed mixers

In addition to the self-propelled feed mixers, we also work with other types of wagons within the Peecon feed mixers. We are also expanding the range with the trailed mixer feeder and the self-loading mixer feeder.

The trailed feed mixer

The trailed feed mixer from Peecon is available in three different versions. For example, there is a suitable machine for every farmer, ranging from 6m3 to 70m3. The feed mixers are driven and pulled by a tractor.

The self-loading feed mixer

The self-loading feed mixers are ideal for products that are removed with a silage cutter and/or packed in square or round bales. These feed mixers are therefore perfect for working with only one tractor. In Biga’s stationary mixers, the homogeneous ration is mixed and cut before the feed mixer distributes it over the livestock.
